The increasing frequency of disruptions in supply chains has driven the development of the concept of Resilient Supply Chain Management (RSCM), understood as the capacity of organizations to absorb impacts, recover, and adapt to new conditions. This article aims to critically analyze the theoretical evolution of RSCM, its structuring capabilities, and the challenges associated with its practical application in complex logistical environments. This applied research adopts a qualitative approach and employs a bibliographic review method to map the main models and dimensions associated with supply chain resilience. The findings point to the consolidation of core capabilities such as flexibility, visibility, collaboration, responsiveness, strategic commitment, and systemic adaptability—key to mitigating the effects of disruptions. However, the study identifies gaps in the conceptual standardization and operationalization of these dimensions, which hinders the comparative assessment of resilience across different contexts. Furthermore, it highlights the need for integrating RSCM with sustainability and leagility as a foundation for a new management paradigm capable of simultaneously addressing economic, social, and ecological pressures. The study concludes that resilient supply chains not only cope more effectively with crises but also reposition themselves strategically, thereby offering a competitive advantage. It recommends that future research focus on the development of integrated evaluation models and the exploration of empirical studies across distinct sectors.
