As manifestações orais decorrentes de abuso sexual é um assunto delicado no qual o cirurgião-dentista deve estar apto para reconhecer, através de um olhar minucioso e agir de forma adequada. A observação destas manifestações juntamente com o estudo comportamental dos pacientes pode nos revelar situações nas quais podem exigir uma intervenção multiprofissional. O objetivo desta pesquisa bibliográfica  é reunir que trabalhos que tratem das principais lesões que podem ser encontradas em pacientes vítimas de abuso sexual e mostrar a importância do cirurgião-dentista diante de possíveis sinais de abuso sexual infantil. O profissional  de saúde, em especial o cirurgião-dentista é o responsável pelo tratamento das manifestações orais em pacientes infantis, além disso, devido ao seu conhecimento sobre o comportamento infantil,  pode detectar comportamento atípicos que podem estar relacionados com abuso sexual.</p><p>The connection between dentist, family and patient occurs in several ways, one of which is the importance of the role that this professional can play in the general health of babies, children and adolescents, promoting health and detecting possible atypical behaviors. Oral manifestations resulting from sexual abuse is a delicate subject in which the dental surgeon must be able to recognize, through a thorough look and act appropriately. The observation of these manifestations together with the behavioral study of patients can reveal situations in which they may require a multidisciplinary intervention. The objective of this bibliographic research is to bring together works that deal with the main injuries that can be found in patients who are victims of sexual abuse and show the importance of the surgeon-dentist in the face of possible signs of child sexual abuse. The health professional, especially the dental surgeon, is responsible for the treatment of oral manifestations in child patients, in addition, due to his knowledge of child behavior, he can detect atypical behaviors that may be related to sexual abuse.</p> ER -
